Afghanistan
One year ago - on August 15, 2021 the Talban took control of the country.
A betrayel to humanity. An event that shattered the lives of so many people and family members who continue to persevere in the face of fear, despair, uncertainty and grief. The rights of women and girls in particular have been massively restricted. For many, life is now without purpose and plans.
Meanwhile, the world watches as the Taliban commit constant human rights violations, raising the question of why the rights of women in Afghanistan are not considered the same as women's rights elsewhere in the world. Nevertheless, the spirited women of Afghanistan continue to protest courageously for their freedom.
Taliban cannot stop their strong voices!
We bow down to the strength of afghan women. It is a clarion call to everyone that the fight for women's rights in Afghanistan is a global fight, and a battle for women's rights everywhere.
What we all do-or fail to do- for women and girls in Afghanistan is the ultimate test of who we are as a global community, and what we stand for..
We support women in Afghanistan in the form of cash payments by giving each identified women/family AFS 10,000 / 100€ a month so they can purchase whatever they are in need of (i.e. food, medicine, clothes). Our aid goes especially to families that are primarily dependent on women, in which no man provides income. Single and widowed women also receive such assistance.
We will keep you updated on how your contribution is making a difference. Any amount is helping.
Thank you - Bâ Taschakor
